Las Islas Filipinas Charities has a mission of delivering lasting change in people’s lives through life-saving and poverty-fighting programmes. We are committed to supportingthis mission by providing relief assistance and supporting sustainable projects that will benefit communities across the world’s poorest
Las Islas Filipinas Charities is a non-profit organisation that provides assistance
to the community in need. As the charity arm of Las Islas Filipinas Education and Visa Services, it was established with one goal in mind: to support and deliver lasting change in people’s lives through the following:
We are committed to blessing the lives of our scholars by providing them with education assistance. This program comes in many forms, from paying for tuition and school fees to value formation training that both enlighten the scholars while also enabling their families so they can become a blessing to others.
We ensure that our beneficiaries have the necessary skills to thrive in society by teaching them income-generating skills. For instance, we provide short- term training courses that generate immediate income such as sewing and commercial cooking.
We are committed to respond to the victims of calamities and natural disasters. When typhoon Odette hit the Philippines in 2021, we sent clothing and other basic goods for the victims and built a resettlement project in Basey, Samar.
In December of 2021, Typhoon Odette wreaked havoc in the Philippines, destroying homes and taking lives. The devastation was unimaginable, leaving many people homeless and without hope. But amidst all the destruction, there were also stories of hope and resilience. One is Las Islas Filipinas Charities’ settlement project for the typhoon victims in Basey, Samar.
Our work would not be possible without the generous donations of our supporters. There are two main ways you can help us make a difference.
A successful outreach program and celebrity basketball showdown that was funded and supported by Las Islas Filipinas Charities for the benefit of typhoon Odette victims in the pacific area of Southern Leyte in collaboration with our partner schools and special participation of Ms. Pauline Cucharo Amelinckx, Ms. Universe Philippines 2022 – Charity.
